Residents of “Gun Alley” otherwise known as John St in Lilydale, Victoria, historically were neither rich nor powerful. In other words, not people who normally would have their stories told in depth. So it was with great interest that we collaborated with the Lilydale and District Historical Society to bring those stories to life through the Gun Alley website.
As well as the website itself, we developed a Content Management System that would allow Society volunteers to easily populate the pages with additional information – photos, text, sound and video – and relate them to the street in both place and time.
